Square Enix published a new trailer for Final Fantasy 7 Remake, revealing the game’s opening movie. While we’ve seen bits of it in the past, this is the first time we’re seeing the whole opening cutscene from beginning to end. You can check it out for yourself right here:
This opening movie trailer is a mix of completely new and old. The first parts give us a new look at Final Fantasy VII Remake‘s Midgar and how it encompasses various technologies, cultures, social classes and lifestyles. The second part of the opening movie is a complete remake of the original game’s opening cutscene, mostly featuring Aerith, and with the same camera pan out revealing the integrality of Midgar. The trailer ends with the famous Cloud train station scene. Both of these scenes were already revealed in the past.
