Today, Square Enix shared the official patch notes for FF7 update 1.02, which is in fact a PS5-focused update. With the new update, you will be able to carry over your progress to PS5 as soon as Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade launches.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake was one of the most anticipated PS4 exclusive titles that launched back in 2020. After long anticipation, the trip back to Midgar fascinated the game’s fans and brought a lot of attention to what the next chapter of the game could bring in.

While there are no official details on when the second part of Final Fantasy 7 Remake would be launched, Square Enix has joined forces with Sony to deliver the same experience with improved visuals and new content on PS5.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade will be available in one week and it brings a brand new playable character to the original version of the remake.
Today, Square Enix launched a new update for the PS4 version of the game that enables save transfers from PS4 to PS5. So, if you don’t want to start everything from the scratch, you can play the PS5 version of the remake with all your progression from PS4.

Aside from launching the FF7 Remake on PS5, Square Enix is also developing the next mainline entry of the Final Fantasy series for PS5 as well. Final Fantasy XVI release date is yet to be announced, but it seems to be launching sooner than the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade will be available exclusively on PS5 on June 10. Yuffie Kisaragi is the brand new character available in this 9th-gen exclusive edition.
