Avid collectors of special editions will be happy about this news. Today developer and publisher Ubisoft unveiled the Resistance Edition for its upcoming first-person shooter Far Cry 5.
First and foremost, players who purchase the Resistance Edition will receive access to the Gold version of the game, which includes the season pass, extra content, and a steelbook. In addition to that, this new edition comes with a 16.5-inch statue featuring one of the protagonists in the game, Nick Rye, and his dog, Boomer. Finally, there will also be a couple of smaller items in this edition, including a bandana, a beer koozie, a pin, and some postcards.
The Resistance Edition will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, exclusively at GameStop for $199.99.
In other Far Cry 5 news, a couple weeks ago it was revealed that Dan Romer would be the composer for the game’s soundtrack. A few weeks earlier some gameplay was revealed, which showed off aerial fights, fishing, and more.
Far Cry 5 is set to hit store shelves on February 27, 2018, and will be available on the two previously mentioned platforms, as well as PC. Personally, I think this entry is exactly what the series needed.
