It seems we can’t go a day without getting some news about Fall Guys’ in-game cosmetics. The Six Foot tall beans (yes really!!) seem to have a bigger wardrobe than mine and they’ve only been around for about 3 weeks. The game has had countless amazing designs made by the Fall Guys community and some awesome crossovers to go alongside those.
So far we’ve had crossovers with Valve’s Half-Life series, Team Fortress 2 and most recently Portal, alongside skins from other Devolver Digital published titles that include Enter the Gungeon and Hotline Miami. Now, in an interesting turn of fate, we may be getting a collaboration with Square Enix’ RPG series NieR: Automata.
Speaking on Twitter, Mediatonic’s Ed Fear stated that NieR Director Yoko Taro and Saito-P wanted to do a crossover between the two games. The legendary director said, “I think the machine lifeform costume would be really cute. Or an Emil head!” This led to mass excitement in the Fall Guys camp with the official Twitter account reaching out to Yoko Taro.

This didn’t go unnoticed by Taro who simply replied to Ed Fear’s tweet saying “Please.”

This is just another great example of the joy that Fall Guys is bringing to the world and the power that the Fall Guys name currently has.
While NieR: Automata will seemingly be getting a cosmetic item in the game for free, other brands are having to bid top dollar for the privilege. The Fall Guys Twitter account is currently a massive charity bidding war in which the winner will be able to design a skin for the game. This has seen YouTubers, Twitch Streamers, eSports Companies and Bidet companies all throw extortionate amounts of money around in order to try and be featured in one of this year’s biggest titles. The highest bid currently sits at over $420,000 for SpecialEffect.
Fall Guys is out now for PC and PS4 and is currently free on PS Plus until the end of this month.
