Codemasters and Koch Media released a brand new fast-paced gameplay trailer for F1 2017 just over a week before its launch on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
F1 2017 brings a many new additions to the series. This starts with the expanded Career Mode, which lets players create their own driver (with female drivers being included for the first time), and race to develop their driver’s skills and car over multiple F1 seasons. The R&D portion has also been greatly expanded, with there now being over 115 upgrades for players to choose from. A new Championships mode allows players to try out unique race events that follow different rules and structures from traditional races in both modern and classic cars
F1 2017 sees the return of the classic Formula 1 racing cars due to it having been a highly requested feature from fans. The title also features four alternative track layouts for Britain, Bahrain, USA and Japan, and spectator spots in multiplayer matches. F1 2017 was also recently confirmed to be enhanced by the PS4 Pro.
Lee Mather, Creative Director of F1 2017, had the following to say about the game:
“We cannot wait for fans to play F1 2017. This is the biggest F1 game we have ever created. Not only do we have the addition of classic cars and a greatly expanded career mode but we have made a number of improvements to the online experience, including introducing spectator spots which should be great for league play. We also think that Championships is going to be a real hit with fans as it offers new ways to play the game with different rule sets and structures compared to the normal World Championship. It really adds to the variety in the game.”
