Compile Heart released the opening sequence for Eshigami no Kizuna, the game featuring popular Osamu Tezuka characters turned into cute girls. The game was initially announced by Compile Heart on June 6th, 2017, but didn’t get any news until now.
Multiple characters are shown in the opening, but only three have been detailed for now. We have Phoenix, voiced by Kaori Ishihara and draw by Takuya Fujima. Astro Boy, voiced by Rie Kugimiya and drawn by Tsunako, and Black Jack, voiced by Nao Touyama and drawn by Kei Nanameda.
Japan has a tendency to make everything into cute girls for years now, so this game doesn’t come off as a surprise. Rather, I’m amazed it took this long for a game of this type to be made, seeing Osamu Tezuka is arguably the most popular mangaka ever.
You can watch the game’s opening sequence below.
The game is developed by Compile Heart, Tezuka Production and Sony’s ForwardWorks, the same company handling the new Wild Arms game and the new Arc the Lad game.
Eshigami no Kizuna was initially scheduled for a 2018 release but is now planned for 2019 in Japan, for iOS and Android.
