Elgato has unveiled the newest addition to their line of gaming capture cards — the 4K60 Pro.
According to the manufacturer, the capture card will launch on November 21 and is currently available for pre-order for $399 on Elgato’s official website as well as third-party stores, GameStop and Amazon. Personally, I think it’s an incredible price, especially for those looking to capture 4K visuals on their PCs, PlayStation 4 Pro, or Xbox One X especially when you consider that other 4K capturing devices can cost up to $1,000.
The 4K60 Pro features an outlet to plug into a PCIe x4/x8/16 slot and accommodates a maximum bitrate of 140 Mbps. In addition to recording 4K video at 60 fps, the product also supports higher framerates at lower resolutions, this includes running a game at 1080p with up to 240 fps and 1440p at 144 fps.
According to the product listing the product only works on Windows 10 software while the card’s PC configuration requires PC rigs sporting a 6th generation Intel Core i7 or AMD Ryzen 7 processor, and a Nvidia GeForce 10 series or ‘AMD Radeon RX Vega as the minimum graphics card.
