Koei Tecmo is continuing its string of reveals of its upcoming open-world Musou game Shin Sangokumusou 8, that will be titled Dynasty Warriors 9 in the west.
This time around, we learn about the Teahouse, where we can purchase food offering temporary benefits like increased experience gain, improved attack, buffed speed or jump ability. We can also confirm the ingredients required for cooking any given recipe.
Interestingly, in the screenshots below you can see the jumping buff in action. without it, the character’s jump ability is limited, but with the buff, she can almost reach the second floor.
The teahouse also has another useful feature. You can use it to hang out, accelerating the passage of time. This will cause the recovery of a character’s physical strength.

Dynasty Warriors 9 will launch in Japan on February 8th, exclusively for PS4. The western release will come just a few days later, on February 13th. In the west, we’ll also get two additional platforms: Xbox One, and PC.
