The end of 2017 is coming close, but we shouldn’t just look to the Past. It’s time to reach forward into 2018, and think about which games make your heart flutter.
Like last year, you’re now called to vote for your most anticipated game of 2018. You can do so by expressing your preference in the form at the bottom of the post (you can find it here if you are on mobile).
In order to limit spam, you’ll be asked to log in to a google account if you aren’t already. If you don’t have one, making it is pretty easy and very quick.
Since we’re talking about hopes and dreams, we’ve been a little more elastic with the rules, including games that are likely to come in 2018 even if a firm release window has not been announced yet. Expansions and ports that aren’t sizable remasters or remakes are not eligible.
As you’ll probably notice, the list is very long. We decided that it wouldn’t make a lot of sense to let you vote for your most anticipated game of 2018, but only within the nominees we care for. So while it was pretty much impossible to include every game releasing in 2018, we tried to give you as many options as humanly possible. That being said, if you’d really like to vote for a game that is not on the list, let us know in the comments, and we’ll do our best to add it if it fits our parameters.
Titles are also listed in constantly changing random order, to avoid giving advantages to any specific game. The order you see will be different from what everyone else will see. Please make sure to press “submit” at the bottom of the list after making your choice, or it won’t be registered.
You’re granted the ability to change your vote at any time before the cutoff time, which will be December 31st, at 11:59:59 PM Pacific Time. People change their mind all the time, so there is no reason why you wouldn’t be able to change your vote here.
Now that you’ve read this lengthy introduction, it’s time to get to the voting. Of course, feel free to let us know your favorites in the comments. Incidentally, don’t forget to vote for our slightly tongue-in-cheek (but not really) “Best Waifu and Best Husbando 2017” general election, and our Game of the Year 2017 Readers’ Choice Award.
