Alongside its release today, Donut County has received a new accompanying launch trailer and it’s just as strange as you’d imagine.
This new 60-second video features one of the game’s main characters BK streaming himself playing through what is the opening level of Donut County. It also features voiceover work from who I am fairly positive is the game’s developer, Ben Esposito. Nothing much really happens in the trailer and it seems like it’s supposed to just be a big goof on streamers.
If you find this video strange, then don’t worry, because the rest of the game is well in line with it. My review for Donut County went live yesterday and I thought that it was weird in all of the right ways. Not to mention, playing as a hole that sucks trash up is way more satisfying than you’d ever imagine. If you’re looking for a bite-sized game to enjoy, I can’t recommend this one enough.
Anyway, today’s new trailer is below if you’d like to watch it. Donut County is out now on PS4, PC, and Mac and retails for $12.99. It’s also available on iOS for the price of $4.99.
