From the first day that it was announced with a quite mysterious teaser, Disintegration seemed to be a promising project with a bunch of interesting innovations in gameplay. Now, the game is ready to launch next week, and V1 Interactive celebrates it with a new trailer focusing on the story of the game.
As the trailer explains, after a series of chaotic events on Earth, the only way for humans to survive is Integration. A cutting-edge technology that installs the human brain on a robotic body. You start the game as Romer Shoal, an integrated pilot who’s fighting against Rayonne forces to save humanity on Earth.
While taking part in battles with your flying weaponized vehicle, you will manage and control your troops to accomplish various objectives and destroy the enemy’s ground troops. The Gravcycle, your flying vehicle, is armed with different weapons and special abilities that will aid you through uneven battles taking place in various locations of the world. Here you can take a look at the launch trailer:
Disintegration is the very first game coming from V1 Interactive, a small-sized indie studio founded by Marcus Lehto, co-creator of the Halo series. The idea behind the game is to mix the core shooting experience of Halo with some simple RTS mechanics and the challenge of controlling a flying vehicle in the air.
Disintegration reviews started to go live as of today and the game has earned the Metascore of 64 so far. As Cameron Hawkings from DualShockers writes in his review for Disintegration, the game has some serious issues when it comes to story-telling, characterizing, and quest design. However, things are totally different in the multiplayer part thanks to the game’s well-matched gameplay elements.
Disintegration is set to be released on June 16 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and it costs $49.99.
