While Minit popped up on Nintendo’s eShop a few days ago, Devolver Digital only confirmed that the game would arrive on August 9th today through a post on its official Twitter account. Minit is only one of the many Devolver Digital published games that will be available on the Nintendo Switch during the “#SummerofDevolver.” By the time the summer is over Minit, Crossing Souls, Broforce, Not a Hero: Super Snazzy Edition, The Messenger, and Enter the Gungeon‘s Advanced Gungeons & Draguns update will all be available on the Switch.

Initially released earlier this Spring, Minit is a monochromatic, pixel-art Zelda-like that kills you every minute. After stumbling upon a cursed sword at the beginning of the game, players have only sixty seconds to traverse the game’s overworld, solve puzzles, and figure out how to stop dying. At the end of each minute, players must respawn and try their luck again.
Minit joins the increasingly impressive roster of bite-sized games ported to the Nintendo Switch. Whether you’d like to chip away at Minit on your morning commute or power through it in one sitting is now your choice. Similar to Fortnite, Rocket League, and Splatoon 2, Minit’s pithy structure lends itself beautifully to the portability and overall convenience that the Switch offers.
