After 11 years, Devil May Cry 5 finally fell into the palms of gamers on March 8, 2019, for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. It suffices to say that the reviews for the title were extremely positive – including our own review where we gave it a 9/10. As the positivity flowed in, Capcom producer Matt Walker posted a clip on Twitter that showed a message from Capcom USA’s CEO Kiichiro Urata holding a Dante-styled cake pop with the statement “Capcom is back.”
If you know anything about Devil May Cry 5, you’ll have seen the Devil Sword Dante which is the legendary devil sword of Dante – forged through employing the newfound power of his Sin Devil Trigger, which he awakened after impaling himself with his broken demonic sword Rebellion and merging himself with it along with his father’s legendary blade, Sparda. This beast of a weapon with its large two-handed ebony blade and claws couldn’t possibly be recreated in real life…could it?
Well, the answer to that is absolutely and that’s exactly what Marcus and Adam from Rooster Teeth have done. In their Master & Apprentice series over on the Rooster Teeth YouTube channel, these guys tackle their most challenging build to date – the Devil Sword Dante from Devil May Cry 5.
Firstly, Marcus and Adam start their gigantic project by hand-sculpting and producing silicone molds. They both talk through the steps they need to take to undergo the task of creating the Devil Sword Dante and quite honestly, it made my brain hurt at the prospect of taking this on, but these talented and highly skilled guys pull it off with an amazing end product.
You can watch Marcus and Adam in the video below as they take viewers through their detailed and engrossing mission on crafting the monstrous Devil Sword Dante – just you wait until you see the end result! Enjoy.
