The Dead Rising series has always featured some playful nods to Capcom’s other series like Mega Man and more, Dead Rising 4 is about to go overboard by featuring full-on costumes and characters pulled from the company’s roster of characters with a brand new game mode.
Capcom has released a new gameplay trailer for Dead Rising 4‘s upcoming “Capcom Heroes” mode, which introduces a collection of over a dozen outfits that give Frank the appearance and abilities of numerous characters from the Capcom library, including Dante from Devil May Cry, Cammy from Street Fighter, and many more.
Capcom Heroes mode will provide an “alternate way to experience the Dead Rising 4 story mode” according to Capcom, where Frank can find arcade machines strewn around the world to access new outfits and gain the powers, appearance, and abilities of the classic Capcom characters in store.
The new mode will be a free update for all players of Dead Rising 4 on Xbox One and PC, and will be included with the upcoming release of Dead Rising 4: Frank’s Big Package for PS4 when it arrives in December.
