Koei Tecmo revealed today that both Mai Shiranui and Kula Diamond will be joining Dead or Alive 6. Both characters are part of Dead or Alive 6‘s 5th DLC pack, which is a collaboration with The King Of Fighters XIV. Kula and Mai were introduced with a new trailer and will be available on June 18.
Mai and Kula will also be receiving the same type of DLC costumes that all the already available characters got. A set at a bargain price with both characters and their costumes will also be available.
Mai was in Dead or Alive 5, and Koei Tecmo already announced she was coming back in Dead or Alive 6 back in February. Today’s trailer is the first time we see her in action in Dead or Alive 6.
Kula’s addition, however, is quite a surprise. Koei Tecmo also stated that another KOF XIV character would be added alongside Mai, but I was definitely expecting someone like Iori instead, seeing anything goes with him lately. Kula is super cool and cute as well though, so I’m not complaining. Both characters’ 3D models look much better than in KOF XIV, seeing the game is already 3 years old now.

Dead or Alive 6 is available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. A Dead or Alive 6: Core Fighters, free-to-play version, is also available.
