In a busy week of releases here at the end of April, Sony’s latest first-party title Days Gone is perhaps the most intriguing new title to hit the market. First announced back at E3 2016, the wait to get to the release date of Days Gone has taken a while, but that wait is now nearly over.
To make the final stretch towards release a bit easier, Sony and Bend Studio have today released a new “gameplay” trailer for Days Gone to show off its world that comes for you. This trailer is only about 30 seconds in length and, in all honesty, doesn’t feature that much actual gameplay. While we see a lot of aspects of what Days Gone’s gameplay will consist of such as riding on your motorcycle and fighting freakers among other things, most of what is on display here seems to be from cutscenes rather than actual gameplay. Still, it’s a solid video that should continue to get you excited if you’re looking forward to the game.
And as a minor note for later this week when the review embargo for Days Gone comes up, we currently aren’t in the process of reviewing the game so you won’t see a full written review from us this week. We will be publishing our review after launch when we get our hands on the title and have ample time to come to a conclusion on how we feel about it. Apologies in advance that you won’t see our review on day one, but we just didn’t get a copy of the game ahead of release. That’s just how things work out sometimes.
In the meantime, you can find today’s new video for Days Gone attached below. Days Gone will release this Friday, April 26, exclusively for the PS4.
