Developer Dark Blue Games shared a trailer at EGX 2018 for Infected Shelter, a post-apocalyptic rogue-lite game that is due out next year. As a cross between Dead Cells and Castle Crashers, it is a game that attempts to take a lighthearted yet bloody look at the end of the world.
Infected Shelter finds players as a member of a group of survivors in a post-apocalyptic world. One day, they find that their party has been kidnapped for unknown reasons. They must leave their shelter to search for their group and answers throughout an infected land filled with factions of infected enemies led by brutal leaders.
Every run of the game is randomly generated, and each one gives players the chance to unlock new weapons, skills, relics, and more. The game has a fully supported singleplayer mode and can also be played locally with up to four players.
You can check out the trailer below. Infected Shelter will be available for early access on PC, Mac, and Linux later this year and ready for consoles sometime next year.
