Crosscode is an exceptional action role-playing game from Radical Fish Games and Deck13. You control Lea as she hops in and plays an in-game MMORPG called CrossWorlds. The game originally launched on PC in 2018. We’ve known it was eventually coming to consoles, we just weren’t sure when. Today, the team has finally given us that elusive release date. Mark your calendars for July 9, as that’s when the game drops for Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One. Check out the announcement trailer below.

CrossCode is an absolutely massive game. A full playthrough should easily run you at least 30 hours, and that number seems to be on the low side. It’s quite the undertaking, but, in my experience well worth your time. I’ve only put in a few hours, but it was enough to convince me CrossCode was a must-buy on the Switch if the port is done well. So, much like you, I’ve been impatiently awaiting this day for a while.
And, if you’re still not sold, the game has a free demo on Steam you can check out right now. Obviously, it doesn’t help if you don’t have a PC, but it lets you get a feel for how the game plays before you open your pocketbook. Hopefully, that same demo comes to consoles soon as well.
If you’re a fan of physical editions, Radical Fish is partnering with ININ Games to bring Switch and PS4 discs to retail. Expect those on August 28. Plus, there’s a gorgeous Collector’s Edition coming from Strictly Limited Games.
CrossCode is available now on PC. It launches for Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One on July 9. If you’re looking for a game to get yourself lost in during the summer, you can’t do much better than this one.
