Nintendo has been using the Nintendo Switch Online membership to give players tons of different games to play. Obviously, it lets you play online and gives you access to several games from Nintendo’s deep vault of old titles. However, one of the cooler things they’ve done with games like Overwatch is giving members free weekend passes to try games out. The next one on the docket is Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. The deal runs from December 30 to January 5 and gives you access to both local and online multiplayer. Check it out.
On Dec 30 at 11 AM PT until Jan 5 at 11:59 PM PT, #NintendoSwitchOnline members can trial the full version of Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, including local + online multiplayer!

Crash Team Racing has been out for about a year and a half. So, it’s not like you’re getting to try out a brand-new game or anything. That said, if you skipped the release at launch and are looking for a party racer, this gives you a chance to try it out. More importantly, this is a great thing for families who just got a Switch for the holidays. CTR is a solid family title. This will let you see if your kiddo is interested before you drop $40.
All told, this seems like a great marketing decision from Nintendo and Activision. With how popular the Switch has been as a holiday gift, it makes perfect sense to drop something like this right as we move into the new year. And, as much as I personally can’t stand anything Crash related, I’m told there are weirdos in the world who like him. To each their own.
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled will be available for Nintendo Switch Online members from December 30 to January 5. The game is currently available on PS4 and Xbox One.
