Sony’s upcoming first-party game lineup has some heavy hitters including Days Gone, Ghosts of Tsushima, Death Stranding, and The Last of Us: Part II. That being said, Concrete Genie, one of their smaller upcoming titles from Entwined developer PixelOpus, is the upcoming exclusive that has caught my attention the most.

For those of you who may not have heard about Concrete Genie, it follows a boy named Ash who’s giving his hometown of Denska color while also recovering the pages of his notebook of drawings that was ripped apart and scattered by a group of bullies. Throughout the game, players are tasked with painting “living portraits” with the DualShock 4 controller. That interesting use of the hardware and the freedom of painting are mainly what caught my eye at first.

Concrete Genie was first revealed at Paris Games Week 2017, so it made sense for it to appear there this year as well. To help reflect the game’s main painting mechanic, Sony had artist Tsuchinoko paint a mural inspired by Concrete Genie. Now, a little under a month after the event, the mural is being highlighted in a new video.

In addition to showing some people play the game, the video mainly highlights Tsuchinoko painting before showing off the finished mural, which features some of the creatures players can create in the game. It looks pretty darn cool, so I thought I’d share it with you all today.

You can check out the video highlighting the mural below. Concrete Genie is due out exclusively for PS4 sometime in Spring 2019. For now, the only other two big PlayStation exclusives poised to release next year are Days Gone and Dreams.
