A few months ago, before the annual Game Awards, rumors began to circulate regarding the existence of either a brand new Crash Team Racing game or a remake of the original on the first PlayStation. Well, those rumors turned out to be true, and we were greeted with Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled, a remake of the original title. We have seen a bit of gameplay, but Nintendo Everything noticed the official Crash Bandicoot Twitter account has tweeted out a couple of character trailers for some of the racers.
In the first character trailer, we got a glimpse at the one and only Crash Bandicoot.

Coco Bandicoot then received her own little trailer.

Finally, Polar got a quick 20-second trailer as well.

I have to admit, I am, along with a couple of my fellow co-workers here at DualShockers, not the biggest Crash Bandicoot fan. I think that the original PS1 titles have aged worse then if you left some cheese out on your countertop for over a year. However, I am very excited to have the opportunity to play a remake of CTR. I know that fans of the series swear by this game, calling it one of the best Kart racers of all time. Some even say it was vastly superior to Mario Kart 64, which even I can admit hasn’t aged that gracefully.
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled will be releasing June 21, 2019, for PS4, Xbox One, and Switch. If you would like to pre-order the game for PS4, you can do so right here through Amazon.
