Nintendo Switch players can start getting ready to climb.
Catherine: Full Body is now up for pre-purchase on the Switch eShop, with this version of the game having all of the existing add-on content from last year’s PlayStation 4 release included, plus three extra voice options crossing over from the Persona series.
All three options feature the Japanese voices of their respective characters and bring their own unique type of encouragement as you make your way up Babel’s towers.
Here are the new options as provided by Atlus:
- Healing Flower, Kana Hanazawa, JP VA of Marie in Persona 4 Golden: For those who need a pick-me-up. Her gentle, flowery voice will soothe you like nothing else can.
- Saucy Kouhai, Ayana Taketatsu, JP VA of Labrys in Persona 4 Arena: For those that like being messed with. You’re going to get teased, but you know you like it.
- Intelligent Beauty, Marina Inoue, JP VA of Female Protagonist in Persona 3 Portable: For those who appreciate intellect. She’s full of wit and will lure you in with her mysterious charm.
Atlus also released a new trailer for Full Body’s Switch version, which is launching July 7, that you can check out below.
A heavily updated and remixed version of the original 2011 release from Atlus’ Studio Zero, Catherine: Full Body is a highly experimental puzzle game that’s unafraid of tackling some pretty mature themes, having players take control of Vincent Brooks — a commitment-fearing 30-something — as he tries to navigate the next steps in his love life.
The game was a hit among fans and critics, us included, when it launched for the PS4 in the West last September.
Full Body also had DLC that offered more playable characters, including Persona 5’s Joker, and different options for the announcer’s voice in the game’s additional multiplayer and solo modes. And as mentioned earlier, all of that is now part of the package and then some for the Switch version.
That Full Body would be releasing on the Switch did come as a bit of surprise when it was announced during the March 26th Nintendo Direct Mini. Although a Korean rating did offer a heads up a month prior.
Still, it was a promising sign that Atlus could be starting a push to bring some of its historically PlayStation-exclusive games to other platforms.
