There are two other grand openings in the area set for the same date as of now: Pokemon Center Shibuya and Nintendo Tokyo.
In other Capcom news, after some testing and teasing in August Capcom officially revealed 4v1 Resident Evil spin-off Project Resistance during this year’s Tokyo Game Show. Project Resistance is an asymmetric multiplayer game where four players cooperate to escape a building where everything is controlled by the Mastermind, a fifth player.
Generally Capcom has been on a roll. Key franchises have posted extremely good reviews and sales numbers: from Devil May Cry to Resident Evil to Monster Hunter and Mega Man, everything Capcom touches seems to turn to gold (except for Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite). And in a recent fiscal report, the company also expressed interest in awakening “dormant intellectual properties.” This may includes titles such as Darkstalkers 4, Dino Crisis 4, Final Fight, and possibly Ōkami 2, Viewtiful Joe 3, and a new Rival Schools title.
In particular Monster Hunter World: Iceborne shipped 2.8 million units in its first month on the market, helping drive solid profits for the developer and publisher. This coincides with the base game eclipsing the 14 million mark in total units sold.
