The swishy, slashy, hummy, slicey beat-focused Beat Saber got a pretty chunky update yesterday and it brings 46 new beatmaps that are available across 18 songs.

The latest update that launched yesterday sets the game at v1.10.0 and is entirely free to download for Oculus Quest and Rift platforms. The update’s 46 new beat maps also include 360° maps and One Saber maps. A blog post published to Oculus details the songs and type of beat maps that are available for them in more detail.

Players have been jumping in and giving the new tracks a go, as you can see one user showing off their lightsaber skills here. However, despite the update dropping the most users, those waiting for it to land on PSVR had to wait as Beat Games Studio announced that the update was seeing technical issues and as such the update has been delayed for the time being for PS4 players.

I’m sure that the official Twitter account will update players on when the latest update lands on PS4, hopefully at some point today!

Last year, Beat Game Studios was acquired by Facebook, and one of the details of the acquisition was that the game would get updates that would include “social features, new modes, music, and more.” Beat Saber is currently available on PS4 and PC for those with VR, and Oculus.
