After leaking last week, Sega made it official today and formally announced the Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle which will be releasing next year.
This collection will contain remastered versions of both PlatinumGames titles in 4k at 60fps and is set to release on February 18, 2020. This is the same date that leaked last week via the Microsoft Store, verifying that what we saw then was real. The Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle will also retail for $39.99.
Furthermore, Bayonetta and Vanquish will only be releasing on Xbox One and PS4 platforms. If you were hoping to see these titles land on other platforms (assuming they aren’t already there), then it seems you’ll be out of luck.
For those that opt to purchase the game physically, the Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle comes in a rather snazzy steelbook case. Each side of the case features new artwork from each respective game and they both look wonderful. This artwork was done by Weapons Van but was overseen and approved by director Hideki Kamiya and the rest of PlatinumGames as well.
Lastly, if you’re looking to get this bundle on PS4, you’ll also be able to grab some new PS4 themes while you’re at it. One of these themes is only available if you pre-order the collection, while the other will be available to anyone who buys the game digitally through March 3, 2020. If you’re looking to get a new theme for your own PS4, now is the time.
All in all, it’s cool to see Sega bring back both of these games with a new, fresh coat of paint. As someone who never played Vanquish in particular, I’m really looking forward to finally giving it a go next year.
