The Left 4 Dead successor has risen at this year’s E3 2021 with even more of its zombie-filled gameplay
We initially laid eyes on Turtle Rock Studios’ next title, Back 4 Blood, at The Game Awards show last year. The spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead, fans of the series weren’t left disappointed when witnessing the zombie-slaying action for the first time.
Incorporating many of the same mechanics as the iconic Left 4 Dead franchise, Back 4 Blood pits gamers in a multiplayer situation against hordes of the undead as well as plenty of giant beasts all whilst trying to survive.
For those who just can’t get enough of the zombie-mashing shooter, Warner Bros. Games has your back. During their presentation at E3 2021, we got to see a new trailer that showed off what players can expect in PvP mode in a thrilling showcase.
Back 4 Blood New E3 2021 “Swam” Trailer Explained
In the showcase, we got to see that players can actually become the Ridden in the PvP mode and that includes slipping into the murky souls of Tallboy, The Stalker and many more.
Each Ridden has its very own abilities so choose wisely on what tactics you like the look of and go from there. Although the Tallboy looks to be badass!
In Swarm mode, two squads of four will face off against each other in a best-of-three series of rounds as teams swap between playing as the Cleaners and the Ridden. Points are then awarded based on how long the Cleaners can stay alive and endure Ridden attacks, with the team that keeps the clock going the longest as Cleaners winning the match.
Check out the trailer below to get even more details like weapon customization and much more.
The Open Beta begins on August 5th until the 9th for those who pre-order the game. The Beta will continue from August 12th until the 16th for all players.
Back 4 Blood releases on October 12, 2021, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
