At the time of publication, the countdown to Persona 5 Royal’s launch here in the U.S. is down to its final hour, and a survey attached to the game might be pointing to what comes next.

The survey, selectable via Royal‘s drop down menu on the PlayStation 4 home screen, asks fans a series of questions that mostly relate to why they decided to buy the game and try to get a grasp of what type of player they are.

But it’s the very last question that’s the stinger: “How interested would you be in purchasing Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers if it were to be released in the West?”

Developed in a collaboration between Omega Force (of Dynasty Warriors fame) and Atlus’ P-Studio, Scramble trades in the mainline Persona games’ turn-based RPG style for full-on action-oriented gameplay. It’s also a follow up that, initially to the surprise of many, stands as a full-fledged sequel to the original Persona 5.

The game released in Japan back in February for the PS4 and Nintendo Switch, and topped the sales charts in its first week on store shelves. But despite being a relatively high-profile title compared to previous Persona follow-ups and spin-offs, and Persona 5 itself having performed incredibly well across the globe, Scramble has yet to be confirmed for a Western launch.

However, Scramble being asked about in Royal’s survey paired with SEGA (Atlus’ parent company) registering a trademark for Persona 5 Strikers late last year points to the idea that the game’s status for the rest of the world will be changing pretty soon.

As for Persona 5 Royal, the expansively updated re-release has been drawing rave reviews. DualShockers’ own Allisa James absolutely adores the game, writing in her review that “for an updated re-release, Persona 5 Royal is certainly worth the price of admission for newcomers. And if you enjoyed the original and are eager to jump back into the fray, then there’s certainly more than enough new content and improvements to justify a second purchase.
