Following today’s leak, Ubisoft has confirmed the next chapter of the Assassin’s Creed series, titled Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
With a tweet on the official account of the franchise, the publisher also teased an E3 reveal, to the surprise of no one.

Interestingly, the tweet also shows a tiny bit of gameplay, which appears to confirm the rumored Spartan setting. The kick scene seems to be a fun callback to the similar scene in the film 300.
At the moment, no more information has been provided about the game, but it’s very likely that we’ll hear a lot more in a few days, as the Electronic Entertainment Expo kicks off in Los Angeles.
The publisher will host its press conference at 1:00 PM Pacific Time on Monday, June 11th, at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles. That’s probably when we’ll hear the bulk of the info, and of course, you’ll be able to read it all here on DualShockers.
Personally, I really liked Assassin’s Creed Origins, and I definitely hope to see a similar level of quality with the new game, especially considering that Sparta resonates more with me than Egypt does. While you wait, you can read our review of Origins.
