Today SMITE developer Hi-Rez Studios announced something rather peculiar, in the form of the next SMITE Adventure, which is an anime-style horde mode experience titled Da Ji and the Legend of the Foxes.
The adventure comes with an entirely different anime-inspired art style and prompts players to defeat relentless waves of enemies.
The mode’s protagonist, Senpai Da Ji, will be voiced by Cristina Vee, known for her roles in Sailor Moon, Pokemon, and Hunter x Hunter.
Following the battle against hordes of ninja, players will have to fight against one of a range of epic bosses. The boss fight is actually randomized, and more bosses will be added with each following patch.
There will be a progression system allowing you to level up and earn in-game rewards, including four skins for Ratatoskr.
Da Ji and the Legend of the Foxes will be free for all players, and the optional purchase of the Senpai Bundle will also be available. It will include an exclusive Senpai Da Ji skin for Da Ji, and further in-game items.
It will release on February 13th for PC, and February 16th for both Xbox and PS4.
