Next week is going to be a big week for Google as it takes its first steps into the world of video games. The mega-company is set to have a live stream next week showing off what it believes to be the future of video games before then having smaller panels throughout the day. Now, we know some of the new attendees that will be present at one of those panels.
Google confirmed recently that developer Crystal Dynamics, the studio currently working on The Avengers Project, will be present at the Developer Day session on the afternoon of March 19. Additionally, Uncharted creator Amy Hennig and designer Raph Koster will also be present. As for what will be discussed here? Well, it’s hard to say at the moment.
The involvement of Crystal Dynamics here is particularly interesting though because the developer has been very quiet over the past year or two since first teasing The Avengers Project. The fact that it will be represented at this panel raises eyebrows because it tells that maybe they will have news to share on their latest game come next week. Don’t take that as truth, though.
Still, with id Software and Ubisoft already confirmed to appear at this Developer Day session as well combined with the fact that Jade Raymond was recently hired by Google as VP, it seems like Google could be prepared to make quite a few announcements next week.
And now this …
