Flyhigh Works, known for popular Nintendo Switch titles like Kamiko and VOEZ, revealed earlier this month that Ambition of the Slimes would be making its way to Nintendo Switch on January 18. Today, just one day before launch, the developers released a new launch trailer showcasing the game’s different features.
For those of you who don’t know, Ambition of the Slimes is a turn-based strategy game developed by Flyhigh Works, Altair Works, and Circle Entertainment where players take control of an army of slimes who are fighting humans. Normally, the slimes are quite weak and helpless when fighting humans, but if they use their claim ability, they can take control of them. The trailer also highlights the variety of different kinds of slimes players can use in order to turn the tide of battle.
Ambition of the Slimes was originally released in 2015 and 2016 for iOS/Android and 3DS respectively. Due to the game’s portable roots, maps are quite compact, though they feature different kinds of terrain. The Nintendo Switch version also seems to have prettier looking pixel art and graphics when compared to the other versions. The game will cost only $5.00 on Nintendo Switch, which is equal to what the title costs on other platforms.
