As you already know by now, miHoYo held the Genshin Impact 2.0 live stream on July 9 – one peculiar thing though is that the Japanese version of the stream on YouTube had a teaser for an upcoming collab café with Albedo, Klee, and new character goods.

Genshin Impact – Albedo, Klee Skins, collab cafe teased
The Japanese livestream announced a collab café event for Genshin Impact is coming, with several teaser visuals. These show silhouettes of Albedo and Klee wearing waiter and waitress outfits. SD (chibi) versions of several other characters in waiter outfits are teased too. Including Mona, Jean, Diluc and Venti.
Remember the KFC collab in China? Similarly how the KFC outfit for Diluc and Noelle were not implemented in-game, you shouldn’t expect the Albedo and Klee waiter collab café Skins to actually be added in Genshin Impact either. I personally don’t think it’ll happen. At least not anytime soon. Oh and you shouldn’t expect the collab café to leave Japan either.

Will Sega handle the Genshin Impact collab café?
It’s unclear for now where and when the Collab Café will be held in Japan. Future details will be coming at a later date. Personally speaking, I’d say it’s possible Sega’s establishments could be organizing it, as miHoYo is already cooperating with Sega’s taiyaki shops to sell taiyaki of the Genshin characters.

What’s an anime, game Collaboration Cafe?
Collaboration cafés are some of the most popular events organized for anime, manga, novel, and game franchises in Japan. Basically, for a limited time, several shops will start selling exclusive food items and change their menu to fit the franchise. It can go from a simple food truck to shops like Animate using their dedicated collab café shops.
Most of the time, these collab cafe are really small, and fans need to reserve tickets online beforehand. You’ll have drinks and meals based on the characters, and with exclusive goods and merch being sold as well.
As for the Genshin Impact collab café, it’s likely the gist of the goods will focus on Klee and Albedo, and then several goods of chibi versions of the characters will be sold too. We’ll be sure to tell you when the Genshin Japanese Twitter shares more details in the future.
Genshin Impact 2.0 with Inazuma will be launching on July 21, 2021, on PS4, PS5, PC, and Mobile.
