During Sony Interactive Entertainment’s PlayStation Live coverage from the show floor at E3 2017 in Los Angeles, Bandai Namco showcased more gameplay of Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown.
This morning we got a look at the third mission of the campaign titled “Two Pronged Strategy” flying an F-14D Super Tomcat, and today we see the same mission, but on the other premier American carrier-borne fighter, the F/A-18F Super Hornet.
In the mission, the player is tasked with establishing air superiority over an area named Chopinburg after taking off from the aircraft carrier Vengeance. Things don’t go as planned as the giant airship Arsenal Bird appears and starts unleashing squadrons of lethal drones.
Considering how this mission interacts with the little we have seen of the plot so far, with the Princess of Erusea denouncing Osea for attacking civilians indiscriminately, and the fact that who dealt the first strike appears to be in question, there certainly is the potential of a great Ace Combat-style story.
You can check out the gameplay below, and if you want to see more, you can also enjoy a recent batch of screenshots, and the latest story trailer.
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown will release in 2018 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
