Are you loving Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, but feel like there’s just something missing? Well if that something is reduced landing lag and quicker movement, you’re in luck! A member of the Smash community, NyxTheShield, is creating a mod to emulate Super Smash Bros. Melee movement.
In the spirit of Project M, the mod is being named Project NX. NyxTheShield has already teased some of the movement already on Twitter:

And now if you have played Palutena, you probably know very well she doesn’t move that fast. And of course, she certainly can’t wave dash. There is no word whether this mod will ever see the light of day outside of NyxTheShield’s streams. But if it follows Project M‘s path, there could be potential for some Smash tournaments to pick it up.
So if you’re a big fan of Melee though you prefer playing the variety of characters Super Smash Bros. Ultimate offers, stay glued to NyxTheShield’s Twitter for more tech videos and info.
Speaking of Melee and Ultimate, a YouTuber recreated Melee‘s opening utilizing the latest Smash entry. This fan-made opening is really well put together and does the original justice, so make sure to check it out if you need more Smash in your life today.
And if you haven’t taken the plunge on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, you can pick up the Nintendo Switch exclusive on Amazon.
