Seven years after the game’s initial launch, Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is still finding ways to stay relevant — even if it is entirely unintentional. According to a few fans of the game, an accidental glitch is changing the aesthetic of the game… to look straight out of Persona 5.
The images seen below come from Redditors u/iMakeRandomCrap and u/ArgonianEngineering who happened to run into the issue around the same time. According to both gamers, the Persona-fication of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was entirely unintentional. Both iterations of this glitch occurred when their graphical ENB mod was not properly installed.
Unfortunately, no one was able to solidly identify the ENB mod that caused this in the comment sections, so we are missing out on the opportunity to create the effect ourselves. You can check out three images floating around below:
If someone more talented than me would like to get started on creating a Persona 5 mod from scratch, let me know because I’ll happily jump back in to Skyrim for the hundreth time.
While neither of the games are new, they are both as relevant as ever for the holiday season. Yesterday it was revealed that The Elder Scrolls series would be getting an official cookbook by Chelsea Monroe-Cassel. Expect to learn how to make Apple Cabbage Stew or stealable Sweetrolls.
On the other hand, Persona 5 has been the talk of the town ever since The Game Awards 2018. If you missed it, there was a surprise announcement that the game’s protagonist would be making his way into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as the first DLC character. Meanwhile, the rumor mill has been hyping up a possible Nintendo Switch version of the famed JRPG sometime in 2019, all unconfirmed.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One (among older generation consoles). Meanwhile, Persona 5 well-worth the pickupis currently a PlayStation 4 exclusive, but if you haven’t played it yet.
