Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy blew up when it hit store shelves last year and revitalized the franchise in ways that many didn’t expect. To capitalize on that success, it seems like Activision might be bringing the N. Sane Trilogy to new platforms later this year.
The journey to get to this information is a bit odd but stick with me here. In the spring 2018 issue of a European magazine called Licensing Source Book Europe, a licensing manager named Max Arguile from a company called GB Eye outright claims that Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will be coming to both Switch and PC. GB Eye is in the business of selling merchandise and works closely alongside Activision in the sale of products related to their properties.
When talking about what people should look forward to in 2018, Arguile says that Crash Bandicoot is the property that you’ll want to keep an eye on. He says the following:
“The new game was a huge success at retail with no marketing spend. Next year it will be going broader (Switch and PC) and there will be a new game in 2019. Activision have a five-year plan for this and GB eye is delighted to be fully on board for all products.”
The notion of bringing Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy to new platforms isn’t too shocking considering the game’s massive sales on PS4 alone last year but what’s even more intriguing is the potential tease of an all-new Crash Bandicoot title coming in 2019. It’s also worth noting that while Xbox One wasn’t listed as a potential platform in this leak, that doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t be arriving there as well if this information is indeed true.
Per usual with stories of this nature, keep your expectations in check until we hear official confirmation straight from Activision.
