ARK: Survival Evolved Co-Creative Director Jeremy Stielglitz confirmed a few new details about the Xbox One X version of the game as well as crossplay with the PS4.
On Xbox One X, ARK runs at 1440p, 30 FPS, with settings approximately equivalent to “PC High”

The developer also confirmed that the game can also run at 1080p, 60 frames-per-second with settings equivalent to “medium” on PC. That being said, he mentioned that they’ll probably provide an option to toggle between the two resolution and frame rate combinations.
Stielglitz also mentioned that the team has figured out crossplay between Xbox One and PS4 but “Sony won’t allow it.”
We have it working internally, but currently Sony won’t allow it 🙁

ARK: Survival Evolved has been in Early Access since June 2, 2015. The game was initially supposed to launch on August 8 but has since been delayed until August 29. Fans also expressed concern after the launch version of the game would reportedly cost 60 dollars. Studio Wildcard also confirmed earlier this summer that servers would not be wiped when the game launches.
ARK: Survival Evolved is available in Early Access now on PS4, Xbox One, Mac, PC, and Linux.
