Today has been a hell of a day for Nintendo Switch news. Whether you are oogling over SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy or are already pre-ordering Dark Souls: Remastered, chances are something has been announced that you are into. And amid all of these announcements, it’s important to note some of the smaller titles getting news today — namely, The Escapists 2.
While The Escapists 2 has been available on other consoles for nearly half a year, it is launching today for Nintendo Switch. And like any video game launch, developer Team17 Digital has revealed a brand new launch trailer to showcase the settings, gameplay, and characters.
For those out of the loop, The Escapists 2 is essentially The Shawshank Redemption video game. Either in a team or alone, you work to break out of a prison. Even better, you aren’t limited to just the one prison — the game offers ten “unique themed” prisons. From the look of it in the trailers, these themes include an iced-over prison, one in the desert, and one paced on the water.
