Today, during a livestream from Sega’s headquarters in Tokyo, the publisher showcased a new trailer of Senjou no Valkyria 4: Eastern Front, which will be released in the west with the more familiar title Valkyria Chronicles 4.
In the trailer, we see the various game mechanics of the game, including the familiar use of command points and action points, the new grenadier class, what happens when a unit falls in battle, unit progreession, the first look at the Cruiser that we’ll be able to use during the game (including dedicated ship orders), and much more.
Interestingly, we see new features of the map including elements like Ragnite boxes, fire, and avalanches. A look at classes reveals that engineers can repair stairs to reach inaccessible areas of a level.

Valkyria Chronicles 4 will launch both in North America and Europe for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One in 2018. In Japan, it will launch for PS4 on March 21st, 2018 and for Nintendo Switch later in the summer.
