Today the Koji Igarashi and the good folks at ArtPlay posted an update on Kickstarter for their upcoming IgaVania game Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night and released new video assets.
The first video is the first look at a never-seen-before stage, inspired by Japan both in looks and music. Apparently set in a cave, it features Asian-style arching bridges and colorful autumn leaves.
The second video is a brief look at the animation for a new enemy, named Plume Parma. We also get “Merry Christmas” wishes from Iga himself at the end of the first video.
You can check both videos out below, alongside two slightly older clips showing hats and new weapons, including a whip and a flintlock pistol. If you want to learn more, you can enjoy reading our recent preview, and our interview with Igarashi-san himself from E3.
You can also watch some gameplay footage and a trailer from the same show and the latest sizable video showing accessories and fashion variations.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is scheduled to launch in the first half of 2018 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS Vita and Switch. The Wii U version was also suppoosed to come, but it has been canceled in favor of the new Nintendo console.
