Today, during a livestream aired to celebrate the second anniversary of the arcade version of Dissidia Final Fantasy, Producer Ichiro Hazama had a very interesting announcement to make.
Players who enjoyed the arcade version of the game will actually be able some of their data to the PS4 version, Dissidia Final Fantasy NT.
Data that will be transferred includes fighting rank, character level (up to the initial cap of 10), HP attack, chat icons, title, player icon and battle BGM. There are limitations in place, but considering how different and usually separate the two platforms are, that’s already impressive.
Of course, it remains to be seen if this will affect the western version of the game at all.
On top of that, Square Enix released a batch of new screenshots showing story cutscenes (and yes, the inevitable moogles will be included), the new Core Battle mode, and a look on Cecil, Terra, Golbez and Kefka.
You can check them out in the gallery below. If you want to see more, you can also enjoy the story in video form and in another gallery of recent screenshots, the introduction of Golbez, and a handy guide to show newbies how to approach the unique battle systems of Dissidia Final Fantasy NT.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT will launch in North America and Europe on January 30th, 2018 exclusively for PS4.
