Deathloop revolves around time travel and considering it’s developed by the same time behind as Dishonored and Prey, there is a lot of hype around it. So far, it seems like it has managed to live up to expectations, but it has kind of faltered in one department.

Why is the game facing issues stuttering issues?
While the game has been critically acclaimed for its mechanics and gameplay, PC players have been on the ugly side of things. The Steam reviews of the game have been bombarded with negative reviews, with tons of players facing performance issues in the game.

Stuttering has been one of the major concerns for players, and reportedly, lowering the resolution hasn’t helped the case of players playing on PC. In fact, some players have reported that they have not been able to get desired performance even on systems with an RTX 3080 Ti in them.
Unsurprisingly, players are putting the blame on the presence of Denuvo. This is not the first time Denuvo has been blamed for affecting the performance, the anti-piracy tech has a long history with performance issues. Quite interestingly, one of Arkane’s games, Prey, had Denuvo removed because it was affecting the performance of the game.
How to Fix Deathloop Stuttering Issues on PC
While the developers are yet to acknowledge the game’s performance problems, players have come up with some workarounds to get rid of the stuttering, at least. One of the users has mentioned that the following settings have helped them improve their performance significantly.
- Frame Rate- 60
- VSync – On
- Nvidia Reflex – On + Boost
- Low Latency Mode – On
- FidelityFX Super Resolution- On
While players might still not get the best graphical quality with FidelityFX Super Resolution on, it will still boost the performance to quite a significant extent.
