For the first time since Microsoft’s mind-blowing acquisition – Xbox and Bethesda will share a stage at E3.
The showcase is scheduled to last a full 90 minutes and will be “focused on games and celebrating the many dev teams”.
It’s likely to feature some of the most recognisable faces in the video game space, including Phil Spencer, Pete Hines and Todd Howard, alongside a range of high-profile announcements.
So, as I like to do (badly) here are my Xbox/Bethesda E3 conference predictions.

Elder Scrolls VI Gets a Cinematic Trailer
So, Starfield at E3 2021 seems to be all but guaranteed at this point, but what about the Elder Scrolls VI?
It’s clearly still a way off with Bethesda’s space-based RPG at the forefront of development, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see the company tease something just to appease fans.
I don’t think we get a release date, or even a release window, but something that’s just enough to whet the appetites.

No Fable 4
Fable 4 was revealed a little under a year ago at this point.
A cinematic trailer confirmed the game is, as expected, returning to its high fantasy roots with fairies, frogs and fantastical landscapes. However, I wouldn’t expect anything at E3.
With no in-engine footage shown, and a job post indicating that the game is still a way off, I’d say this is a safe bet.
Back 4 Blood Gets The Spotlight – Coming to Xbox Game Pass
Left 4 Dead has a special place in many Xbox Gamer’s hearts. It was where I myself first played the co-op Zombie shooter.
I can see Turtle Rock gunning for a similar relationship with Microsoft this year and despite launching across multiple platforms, the game will be heavily allied with the Series S/X.
Avowed Gets a 2022 Release Window
I’m not overly convinced myself by this one, but I have a feeling Avowed isn’t super far away.
PC Gamer noted Obsidian were hiring for their next “world-class RPG” back in 2019 and there was definitely some gameplay footage in the reveal trailer.
An appearance from Avowed would definitely get people talking and a 2022 release window doesn’t seem too unrealistic.
Halo Standalone Battle Royale Announced Alongside Infinite Release Date
343 have vehemently denied that Halo Infinite is getting a battle royale mode. On multiple occasions, the developers have shot down “unfounded” rumors, however, they’ve never denied that the series would be getting a standalone title.
Much like the incredibly successful Warzone, a standalone Halo battle royale could work wonders for the franchies, propelling it back into the hands of the masses and hopefully giving Infinite a sales boost too.
Speaking of Infinite, Microsoft confirm that’s coming in November.
