The latest Stalker 2 leak sheds some light on a canceled version of the game, where everything happens in the year 2015.
When it comes to the third-party exclusives coming to Xbox Series X|S, Stalker 2 is probably one of the most anticipated ones. The game is yet to have a detailed showcase on Microsoft’s next-gen consoles, but the early footage already looks stunning.

Recently, a new set of documents related to a canceled version of Stalker 2 has been leaked online. The leaked information is related to a GSC Game World title that was in development in the earlier 2010s, which was canceled once and then revived in 2018.
Although with the revival of the project the whole plans for Stalker could be changed, it’s still worth checking out.
Stalker 2 Leak – Story Details (Canceled Version)
According to the Stalker 2 leak, the outline for the story follows the events of Shadow of Chernobyl after almost three years in 2015.
The players would play as a tormented, unnamed Stalker who returns to the Chernobyl power plant seeking answers for his visions about the Exclusion Zone. During his explorations, the player meets some familiar characters from the previous entries of the franchise.
As per documents, the game was supposed to have a 10-hour long campaign that could be extended up to 30 hours with side missions. However, this part has been truly improved as GSC Game World announced recently that Stalker 2 will have nearly 100 hours of content.
The canceled version was supposed to be launched on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC with a 32-player multiplayer mode, non-linear side quests, and multidimensional campaign.

Stalker 2 will be available on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. The exact release date of the game is yet to be announced.
