New Genshin Impact leaks have surfaced, this time new Inazuma themed enemies in the game have been leaked, and are possibly coming with 1.6. We have the details below.
Genshin Impact, soon to release its Ver 1.5 on April 28, with a new housing system, still has yet to fully reveal Inazuma, the third region of the game. As such, many fans, myself included, are always looking forward to learn ever so slightly more about the Japanese themed region.

Genshin Impact 1.6 Leaks: Inazuma Ninja, Samurai Enemies Leaked
Genshin Impact renowned data miners Falzar and Dimbreath, always looking for more challenging details to find, revealed the existence of several new enemies, all clearly tied to Inazuma. (Thanks, WFP Discord). The mobs’ names all have Japanese origins:
- Ronin: Anbu
- Ronin: Sanzoku
- Bakufu Bushi
Ronin is the term designing samurai without a lord during the feudal period of Japan.
Anbu, which means “dark side”, is now a popular term for ninja thanks to Naruto and Boruto. The shonen anime series used the term as an acronym: “ANsatsu Senjutsu Tokushu BUtai”. Meaning “Special Assassination and Tactical Squad”. miHoYo, and its slogan “Tech Otaku Save the World” is definitely using Anbu as a synonym of Ninja and Shinobi.
Meanwhile, Sanzoku refers to bandits and brigands. This mob could be one of the Inazuma versions of the Treasure Hoarders enemies in Genshin Impact.
Lastly, Bakufu Bushi can be translated to “samurai of the Bakufu”. Historically, the Bakufu was the military government of Japan led by a shogun, during the feudal period. In Genshin Impact, the Bakufu is the leading power of Inazuma, led by Electron Archon Baal, also called the Raiden Shogun.
The data miners specified that the enemies use placeholder Millelith data (the soldiers from Liyue), and that the files were not updated since the 1.4 release. As such, it’s possible these are scrapped enemy concepts that we won’t ever be seeing in the official game.
Even if these ninja and samurai enemies are indeed coming with Inazuma, keep in mind as usual this is data mined content and subject to change. Lastly, while we got some new concept artwork on the latest livestream, there’s still no official word on Inazuma releasing with 1.6.
