If you want to see more of Capcom’s upcoming mainline Monster Hunter game Monster Hunter World, you have come to the right place.
YouTube user Arekkz visited Capcom’s headquarters in Osaka, and brought back some really spiffy footage for us all to enjoy.
First of all, we get to see a new monster in action, the lightning-based wyvern Tobi Kadachi. It appears to be really a nasty critter, especially considering that it gives trouble to Arekkz, whom definitely knows what he’s doing in Monster Hunter games.
Secondly, we see two shorter weapons giving a look at the models for the armor and weapons he managed to unlock. Those just show the models themselves, because the stats are still work-in-progress.
Last, but not least, we get a mini video-interview with Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and Co-Director Yuya Tokuda. They share some really interesting information, like the fact that the story appears to be beefier than in previous MH games (which has always been my pet-peeve about them), with cutscenes all the way through. Playing the main story alone will take about 24 hours, and there are a lot more things to do.
We also learn about squads, housing and how armor skins will work, letting you wear a look you like without changing the stats of your gear. At a high level, we’re also getting the ability to change the color of armor, which is always welcome in a game with heavy online features.
