Over the last few years, The Witcher 3 has become one of the biggest inspirations for fan art in the video game community. The game speaks to so many people and provides countless opportunities for artists to express themselves. Whether it’s cosplay, sketching, painting, or anything in between, The Witcher community continues to churn out absolutely stunning artwork. Recently, an ArtStation user named Qasim H released some fan art of Ciri that you absolutely have to see.
This piece of digital art has a style that reminds me of great watercolor work. Everything looks a little messy, but still perfectly captures Ciri’s personality. Personally, my eyes immediately are drawn to her belt. I really love what the artist has done with the turquoise bits on the belt. Instead of just coloring them in, they’ve seemingly just tossed some paint across the belt. It’s visually striking and really adds to the piece.
On top of that, Qasim does such a great job capturing Ciri with how they’ve done her eyes. I really love how they’ve handled the dark circles around her eyes. You can obviously see that in her in-game character model, but this take makes them even more striking.
Qasim H’s ArtStation profile is full of art in a similar style to this Ciri work if you’re into it. There aren’t many other video game-related pieces, but it’s still rad. I was especially taken with some of the Star Wars and Dungeons and Dragons work they’ve been putting out recently.
And, if you’re just on the lookout for more The Witcher 3 art, there is so much of that out there. We’ve featured several pieces in the past. As you can probably guess, Ciri tends to pop up quite a bit.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available now on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The Complete Edition is heading to next-gen platforms soon. It’s as gorgeous as ever.
