Craftopia developer Pocketpair announced the game now sold over 500,000 copies, despite only being in Early Access. The announcement was made by Pocketpair through an interview with Denfaminicogamer. The sales number was then shared on Twitter. Moreover, a large-scale update titled the Hell Update is now available since December 22. Adding new skills, items, fixing tons of bugs, and adding Vroid Hub support.
Vroid Hub is basically a database where designers can uploaded the 3D models and information of the anime stylized original characters they created. The models can then be used in VR/AR platforms or games which support Vroid Hub. Note that Craftopia has no VR mode. However, you can now replace your player character with a 3D model downloaded from Vroid Hub.

The Hell update of Craftopia adds a new era, new bosses, a new dungeon, additional items to craft. Alongside plenty of new equipment and mechanics. Most notably, once players reach Island Level 5, a new island with highly difficult content will appear, Hell Island. Though most of it is still under development, and some of the bugs will surely spawn new memes. You can find the full list of bug fixes and patch notes here.
Craftopia was first announced at the first Indie Live Expo in June 2020. The game launched in Steam early access on September 4th. It’s definitely a good game to try out and a good alternative to other recently launched Action JRPGs such as Genshin Impact. Though both games are ultimately very different. Craftopia is also much more blatant with its inspirations, from Fortnite to Pokemon but is also a pretty unique game. Craftopia is exclusively available on PC via Steam.
