Yesterday, CD Projekt RED shared some new gameplay footage from Cyberpunk 2077 captured on Xbox One X and Xbox Series X, comparing the game’s visuals and technical performance on Microsoft’s consoles from two different generations. Now, the developer confirms that there will be a similar video for PlayStation consoles as well.
CD Projekt RED indicated in a press release after yesterday’s gameplay footage that they will be sharing some PlayStation gameplay footage from Cyberpunk 2077 in the near future to give a better understanding of how the game runs on PS5 and PS4 to the fans who choose to play it on Sony’s platforms.
Thus far, most of the game’s premiers were shown on PC, which is the strongest platform for every multiplatform title including Cyberpunk 2077. The game has never received any gameplay footage on PS4 or PS5 yet.
According to the footage developers premiered in yesterday’s Night City Wire Special, the game looks quite good on both generations of Xbox consoles, though the Xbox Series X version looks incredible in some aspects such as reflections and lighting. That said, in some areas like the facial design of characters both consoles seemed to have a similar performance. A bigger showcase of the game will be streamed on November 19, which could probably be the last episode of Night City Wire before the game’s launch earlier in December.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be out on December 10th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PS4, PS5, Stadia, and PC. The game has already gone gold, but it seems the development team needs a huge amount of time to polish it and improve the overall performance of the game on seven different platforms. Cyberpunk 2077 will support a free next-gen upgrade, meaning you can buy it on Xbox One/PS4 and then get it for free on Xbox Series X|S/PS5.
