Sega’s Phantasy Star Online 2 sure has taken a while to come to the US. The game originally launched in Japan back in 2012. While it continued to receive copious post-launch content, it took until April 2020 before it finally made its way to the States via Xbox One. Unfortunately, PC players were left still waiting. That is, until now. Today, Sega announced that Phantasy Star Online 2 will finally make its way to PC on May 27.
The time to #JoinARKS is finally revealed. Phantasy Star Online 2, one of Japan's biggest online action RPGs, arrives on Windows 10 next week, on May 27th.

Phantasy Star Online 2 lets you jump into a massive universe made up of several worlds to explore. At character creation, you’ll choose between four different races and nine distinct classes. From there, you can team up with up to 11 other players to take on the biggest and best boss fights PSO2 has to offer. At PC launch, the game will support cross-platform play between PC and Xbox One. That’s great news for the fanbase as now you’ll be able to play with your friends regardless of where they pick the game up.
The PC launch has another wrinkle to add to the mix. Alongside the release, Sega is bringing its first in-game collaboration to North America. That’s right, Hatsune Miku is coming to town. You’ll be able to unlock “stylish new clothing and accessories” from the Hatsune Miku line. And, of course, there will be a fun Vocaloid performance for you to enjoy.
Sega promises this is far from the last in-game event they have for 2020. So make sure to keep your eyes open for new updates to the fan-favorite game. Phantasy Star Online 2 is available now on Xbox One and launches for PC on May 27.
